Barbara June Caton Ward, age 68, of Monett, MO, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett, MO following a lengthy illness. Barbara was born on June 04, 1941 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Richard Raymond Caton, Sr. and Viola Schnake Caton. She was a homemaker, sang with the Sweet Adelines and was a member of the Women’s Firehouse Auxiliary. Barbara married Edward Ward on November 03, 1977 in Rockville, MD. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2006. Barbara is survived by two sons, Charles Fiske II and his wife Patty, of Littlestown, PA and Donald Fiske and his wife Wendyl, of Stephens City, VA; two daughters, Tammy Jo Allison and her husband Jerry, of Parker, CO and Carla Taylor and her husband Dave, of Goldsboro, NC; a step-son Bob Ward and his wife Seda, of Columbia, MD; two step-daughters, Cathy Young and her husband Mark, of Falling Waters, WV and Cindy Lu Paulson, of the state of CA; two brothers Richard Caton and his wife Donna, of Monett and Tom Caton and his wife Debi, of Bentonville, AR; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a special niece, Jennifer Inman and her husband Jason , their daughters Allyson and Abigail of Monett; a special nephew Jared Caton of Destin, FL; a host of cousins and special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one brother, Willis Ray Caton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2009, at Buchanan Funeral Chapel.
