I am so grateful to everyone at Buchanan who helped bring a beautiful closure to what was an agonizing time of terrible loss. Exemplary customer service. Staff was thoughtful and compassionate. Duane, whom we had met previously serving in a different capacity, immediately impressed us with his kindness and sincerity. When the need arose, he and Jeff came quickly to our home, quietly working with the hospice nurse, my husband's body respectfully draped for transport, allowing me a private moment to say goodbye. At their office, Jeremy patiently walked me through all the necessary paperwork which seemed daunting & overwhelming as I was hearing but not understanding, nearly immobilized by grief. There was absolutely no sense of pressure or salesmanship as he listened to me outline my husband's last wishes for a simple service, gently suggesting options within budget. It took me a couple days to compose the obit which was swiftly posted on their website, enabling me to relay service information without answering a flood of calls. Within a few days there was a brief service w/Military Honors at the Veteran's Cemetery, and a church memorial event 2 weeks later. Jeremy worked directly both with staff at the Veteran's Cemetery and with our pastor, making calls on our behalf, ironing out details as he coordinated transportation, flowers, etc. They printed up a handsome obit with a single photo and basic biographical info as well as a larger trifold with numerous photos and a keepsake type laminated bookmark that I know will be kept in Bibles for generations. Best of all, installed on thumb drive and burned to DVD was the montage of photos I had gathered, set to music I had selected, the combination of which so beautifully captured the essence of my dear departed husband. I am now able to share this with friends & family, especially grateful that someday his great grandchildren will be able to get a glimpse into the amazing life of this wonderful man. If you have read this far, I hope you have already decided to allow Buchanan Funeral Home to meet your needs. They far exceeded my expectations.

Jeremy and Jeff were simply excellent in getting me through the recent death and cremation of my wife. They were the epitome of dotting the i’s and crossing by the t’s. I was extremely pleased with the compassionate, caring and professional manner in which they handled a difficult time for me. Thanks gentlemen!
